Yeah man. I see them as sort of being the group that the others have to turn to when something calls for a more morally grey type of view -- working the criminal underworld, building contacts, things that would leave a bad taste in the mouth of most of the others. I mean, most of these other characters have some pretty strong views on justice and what's right (they're the goddamn Avengers), so there are going to be situations that they will be vehemently against.

Then you have like the secret black ops group that doesn't mind if they have to break into a purist-owned business to steal something or wreck shit up, break some of the Thor's laws, etc. It's like in The Dark Knight when Batman went over to Japan or wherever and grabbed that dude and brought him back to Gotham. The Gotham PD couldn't do that because of international laws of extradition and shit.
