Garrus has discovered from Batmanning around the Thor, that the Purists have taken root in some of the higher echelons of the galactic governing bodies. On top of that, several are supposedly high ranking figureheads and military men of considerable rank, but this is all just hearsay. There's no concrete evidence.

Garrus (or whoever) will get wind of a deal going down: using the planet's wargame filled atmosphere as a cover, one of those high ranking military figures will be making a special visit to the planet under the guise of overseeing regulation training maneuvers. What is actually happening, however, is that he is going to be a third, neutral party in an arms deal between a notorious war profiteer and the head of the Purist chapter in this particular quadrant. The weapons cache is all experimental weaponry, specifically calibrated to only harm people who carry a unique energy signature. Those who have come from destroyed worlds and/or galaxies. The Purists commissioned these after the Sigrun incident, and only now have they been properly developed and are now awaiting field testing.
