THORVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody!

How're you all doing? Good? Good!

Okay so, just to make sure we're all on the same page, here's a quick recap of the latest plot. This includes information that, as of this writing is NOT available to any of the characters. I'll be sure to differentiate so we know what's what!

- Loki is a poop and destroyed about two blocks worth of lower-income, not-quite-slummy area.
- While it looked like a temper tantrum thrown by Daddy's Second Favorite, it actually served a legit purpose! You see, Team Sabotage wound up winning the 'The General' story arc, and therefore broke him out of Normal!Police prison. Noiz, a newcomer to the plot, worked on the actual break out, while Jim Moriarty worked as an escort. <-- NOT KNOWN JUST YET
- The General is no longer on the ship-- this is going to leak sometime soon. Hopefully. Gotta work out a couple of details there.
- There were NO casualties NPC or PC; Also, PC housing wasn't affected.
- Why did they do this? Shits and giggles, mostly.

Now that we have that out of the way (any questions, and I'll be happy to answer them!) there is a nice little proposition that's come out of this that, while not initially intended, worked out REALLY nicely!

So, who here knows about The Avengers? You know, that movie that's not very well known and may have attracted some mainstream attention over the past couple of weeks. It's based on this comic book that nobody really cares about. It's okay if you don't, it's not that big of a deal.

Well, after this latest plot, a very nice point was brought up: The Thor is going to need a group of Good Guys to keep the Purists and crazies at bay. With the way things have been going thus far, everyone has been too splintered and relatively ineffective against the real threat. And seeing how well the Avengers, Normandy Crew, and a few other people worked together against Loki, there's going to be a meeting with everyone. Eventually, our goal is to ICly have an even bigger team opened up to other players/characters.

Now what does this mean for us?

Obviously, it wouldn't be fair to push anybody into doing something they don't want to, ICly or OOCly, so this is going to be a plot post to go over a few different things, since the first meeting will understandably handwaved. Once we hammer out those details, I'll make a recap post so we're all on the same page again.

What the meeting will be about (In a handy list format!):

- Risk assessment of the Thor. Does it need a team of Do-Gooders to keep it safe? (The answer is 'YES' if it weren't obvious)
- Who wants to be involved in the actual team. Everyone who's been propositioned will have time to think about it before another huge get together to give their answers.
- Whether or not to let other people know/open the doors for newcomers who want to play hero. (This will eventually happen, and the ooc stuff will be taken care of by Xy/lightnings's player)
- Anything else you think should be brought up? Let it be known in the comments!

We also want to confirm:

- Who actually wants a part in the Thorvengers (TITLE PENDING). If you feel your character wouldn't be a part of the group, whether or not they're a part of the Normandy Crew, or if YOU don't want to be involved as a player, it is PERFECTLY ALL RIGHT to say no!
- Who would react to whom, and how-- we unfortunately don't really have the time/means to coordinate a logged meeting with so many people, so handwaving things would probably be the best.
- Anything your character can bring to the table. For example, Garrus will probably bring up previous attempts to get people together for anti-Purist talks and also his vigilante work down in the slums. This is a great time for any and all characters to bring information to the table!
- Again, anything else you can think of!

Oh right I guess I should go over what everyone brings to the table and whatnot.

Minato has his Personae, which can make him immune to all sorts of things. He's a perfect tank. Plus he can do espionage, being generally charismatic and good at putting on facades. Also good with changing tactics on the battlefield to keep people guessing. He's a Fool like that, generally suited to whatever the hell you want him to do.

Tali should be obvious. Repair and hacking skills good enough to take over sentient, networked AI, and a good support in combat, making short work of anything electronic, and whatever's not electronic will get a face full of buckshot.

Meanwhile Celestia's a goddamn goddess-queen. Several thousand years of leadership experience, can make those harsh decisions, knows how to rally those under her command, and magic that could probably take out a small army if she so wanted. She prefers to stay back and let others do the dirty work, though, going for a support role instead. Barriers and emergency teleportation and whatnot.

I think all of my dudes but Kamui are involved IN SOME WAY. Fox and Mordin especially, Kolyat's just around to make everyone hate teenagers all over again but he's trying to help 8U

I'M ACTUALLY WONDERING if perhaps there would be some way to get Kamui involved in the bad guy side of things. Because there are a lot of STRONG AS FUCK PEOPLE around here and he would pretty much jump at any chance to fist fight them. He doesn't give a fuck about the Purists or the refugees but I don't see him being above doing shit for the Purists just to get a chance at them good guys.

IF YOU THINK IT'S DOABLE ANYWAY I need to get more active with him and make him some new CR since all of his old CR jumped ship ;A;

I THINKING IT'S VERY DOABLE. What if we had him as a test run type villain? You know, someone for us and our characters to practice against so we can get a groove figured out?

You know Hulk and Miranda are definitely in.

Though Hulk might be a tad wary of the Normandy crew at first. He openly does not like military-types for obvious reasons, on top of his trust issues to begin with. As it stands right now, there is little motive for Hulk to want to work with anyone other than Iron Man and Thor. There will be some initial tensions from his part that need to be worked over so I apologize in advance. Banner will try and help where he can, but since he isn't let out much in canon, that help with be incredibly limited.

Thankfully Miri won't have as many issues, though convincing her will take a little effort.

The Hulk issues sound exactly like the sort of thing we need in terms of tension/discussion topics amongst each group! It'll be interesting to see.

The same with Miri. A little healthy skepticism is good for the team!

Yep, definitely in. Same old stuff with politics, gathering funds and buying time. Preventer won't openly declare memberships since they need to keep a good relationship with ship government. Undermining from the inside etc etc.

Minako is in! But she's... not able to contribute to the fighting side of things at the moment. No offensive capabilities (except maybe whacking someone with a hockey stick/naginata) until she sorts out her summoning issues, which might take a while. But until then, she'd be more than willing to help out with some of the background stuff- paperwork, notices, evacuations, minor things that the big heroes shouldn't mess with because that's not their job.

-YES and NO? Yeah, he's a part of the group, but fuck if he's going to trust any of the other people like he trusts his Normandy pals. They have to earn that first before he's willing to branch out to actually working side-by-side with them in the field. He'll let Jane be the more welcoming Shepard for now until the rest earn his trust.

-HE'D REACT BY BEING A RENEGADE? Like I said, he butts heads with the idealistic, pacifistic, nobler types. Une, for example.

-He brings to the table the fact he saved a damn universe. Also, he's been working the underground (especially when TIM was around, looking for Purists businesses, hacking credit accounts with his infiltrating skills, etc). And, you know, he's got that charismatic leader thing going on where he can unite and all that jazz. N7 Graduate, shitload of training, infiltration training, tactics, and he will get the job done no matter the cost fufufu.

So basically Aria is just watching this whole thing play out and gathering information and doing Aria shit. Since Loki, Jim, and Noiz are refugees she's just like 'let them fight it out whatever dumbasses Purists are the issue'. Eventually she's doing backhand hero stuff against the PURISTS by trying to get some mercenaries (or otherwise good fighters that will help) to fall under her lead so she can start to basically have some say over what goes on in the Thor by how many eyes she has reporting to her. By taking over clubs and whatever other districts the Thor has, etc etc

Anyway, I might mostly be getting NPC to work for her but I need to post up a plot in the OOC comm at some point in case anybody is interested in this part of Aria's plan. IF ANYBODY IS HERE, LET ME KNOW. PC's need to be able to do the dirty work of being in an organization like Arias. Sometimes that includes assasinations, stealing, hacking high security vaults for credits IDK OTHER STUFF. Where the whole purpose is to attain any means necessary to keep on an eye on the Purists; if they move, she knows it and therefore all the refugees know it.

Information is POWAH.

What she brings to the table here? Inc already mentioned it somewhere but she's the part of the defense that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty to get a job done. When the paragon option isn't working out, you go to Aria and she'll find a way to fix it. She won't necessarily be a PART of this defense since she isn't really interested in working for other people and would rather have her own peeps, but putting it out there that eventually she will be a contact to definitely look into for those black op dudes.

WOW I'M LATE but yes you can count Liara in on this? Obligatory helping out the Normandy crew, avoiding future debacles like the stunt that Loki pulled, etc.

As for what she can offer? Well she's attempting to get a Shadow Broker-esque network back up and running, so basically INFORMATION?? As of now, she's kind of been working with Preventer to get the basis of these things sorted out and UUUUH I need a chance to develop this part of her more?

Actually I was wondering if, one day in the future, you'd like to do something between Garrus and Liara discussing Preventer stuff (resources, alliances, etc). Also! Would she let everyone (everyone being the Avengers and anyone else who may join the eventual group) know that she's running an information network, or keep it strictly to the Normandy crew? AND that leads to another question-- should the groups have an open transparent policy amongst one another ORRRR will everybody have their own secrets. HMMMMM.
