Okay so here is a plot proposal for AEGIS. An incomplete one, though, which is where you guys come in!

The Mass Effect crew has a little something coming up that we figured could be expanded into a bigger something! Keep in mine that, as always, everything mentioned in this post is just a proposal and is meant to be talked about and expanded upon! If a player doesn't want to have his/her character involved for any reason YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED! JUST SAY SO!

Cliffnotes version:

1) Kamui from Gintama has been hired by the Purists to wreak some havoc with the microwave guns, which he'll be obtaining through his new mob boss job. He'll be distributing those to NPCs (POSSIBLY PCs, too-- still debating on that) During the month of August, characters may notice a higher rate of incidents concerning severe burns and radiation poisoning, but more on that later. Moriarty and Loki may want in on this! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

2) While the month goes on, guns will start showing up on the streets, as will related casualties (fatal and otherwise). Dave Nails will be most likely be reporting on these and letting the general public know about it! How? By using his rad journalist janitor powers!

3) Since Kamui is working for the Purists, they'll also be getting him to kidnap Joker from the Normandy. Partly to mess with the Normandy Crew, but mostly to extract information from who they assume is their weakest link.

4) After Joker is kidnapped, the Normandy Crew will track down/figure out where he is but not before they fuck him up something good (more on that later). The proposed teams to go and get him are:

Team Rescue (black ops)-- Jim Shepard, Mordin, Thane and Garrus [Rescue Joker]
Team Girl Power-- Jane Shepard, Liara, Tali and Miranda [Find the interrogators, gather any data]
Team Fuck Kamui Up-- Wrex and Aria [Fuck Kamui up]

AGAIN this is only a proposal! Anyone who has any ideas can go right on in the comments and say them! IDEAS ARE GOOD!

Okay so, that's the Mass Effect side of things, where the hell does everyone else come into this?

Well, that's really up in the air, but, like I said earlier, this is where player input is really appreciated!

First of all, someone is going to get their hands on that surplus of weaponry, NPC or otherwise. Unfortunately, we have a severe lack of villains in the game, which makes it tough! We're thinking about doing temporary villain stuff, but that's another thing for another time! ANYWAY, because the Normandy Crew will be busy grabbing their pilot, they can't work on the gun distribution, or raiding/fighting the source, who/whatever that may be.

SECOND OF ALL, for those who don't know, Joker has brittle bone disease. His interrogators are going to take advantage of that and pretty much paralyze him from the waist down. It would be pretty awesome to have some science in there to fix that (like robo science).

BASICALLY the goal for this post is to cement the Normandy Crew plans, and to come up with some other stuff to tie into the whole plot. For reference, we'll have a month before anything actually happens, so we have time to get stuff done!

I think the Avengers could work on the weaponry angle. Maybe they see the reports of the additional violence and start patrolling the ship, trying to head off incidents before they happen? I can see Cap suggesting that to the team. Tony's tech would be helpful for monitoring also. (Watch me volunteer other people's characters, lol.)

And possibly as a way to bring other non-Avengers characters in, they could see the Avengers patrolling and/or help out with an incident and end up joining the group effort?

Tony's tech can definitely play a huge role in everything (including maybe helping Joker evolve into his final stage? Do you think he'd be willing to work with Preventer on that? MAYBE WE SHOULD GET THE PLAYER IN HERE BEFORE WE VOLUNTEER MORE TONY STUFF HERP).

That can be a very good idea! Kind of like isolated logs for different Avenger members where people can join in? Maybe even an option between helping and hindering?

Okay for real though, correct me if I'm wrong on how this is going to play: Shepard grabs who he thinks can work with the most discretion to go nab Joker? And then suddenly the black ops squad is made for future use. There's a log where they have to beat down some Purists and a mandatory boss, then Mordin helps treats Joker's puny excuse for a backbone and they drag him out?

Miri is good to go for info gathering. If there's anything in particular you'd like me to get her involved with, I'm all ears.

If there's radiation poisoning going on, someone might want to get Dr. Banner on that. That is kindof his thing after all. Or Hulk can be out on the streets doing what he does best. I'm open to dialogue on this.

And also he hasn't been here long but helping people on the street sounds like something Sonic would do on his own. Because he's a big damn hero and all.

You know, I completely forgot about Dr. Banner and his Gamma knowledge-- that can most definitely come in handy! Him and Mordin becoming science bros? EH? EEHHHH???

I'm good for Loki being a douchebag again and causing trouble, and honestly I don't necessarily mind how he does it? Whatever you think fits in better with the overall plot -- however I suppose there is the issue of him having a motive other than just causing trouble for the sake of it.... but then again, god of mischief and everything. :|a So I suppose that's something to ponder over!

Obviously I'm good with Liara being on Team Girl Power; to kind of reflect Noah's comment up there, Liara would also be good with information gathering if you need her to do anything like that. In fact, maybe she can work with Miri on it?

Allllsssooo I would want Stephen to help with the Thorvengers stuff, but I suppose I can hit Deb up with that. I imagine his magic can come in handy maybe idk.

minako can, uh... work on sorting out the gun distribution mess???? she's got more mapping skillz now, and she's kind of a scout, so maybe she can... go into suspected areas and tag places with weapon stashes and make handouts for the assault teams or something, idek

she can help in a fight, but as support more than anything else. unless you want something blown up. a lot of her forays into magic have been resulting in accidental, uncontrolled explosions... .____.

It looks like there may be an In-Cognito Team forming-- if Minako is scouting, maybe she can take care of flagging stuff they find, so their cover is in less danger of being blown? Plus, if she starts keeping a database, it can be her initiation as a pseudo-secretary (until she regains her powers!).

Also explosions are never a bad thing. 8)))
